Access Control Systems
Access control systems to protect your site
When it comes to controlling access in and around a building or multiple buildings there is only one choice... Paxton.
With access control you can easily secure a site, not only the entry into the building itself, but you can limit area access to those who are authorised to be there. This is easily completed from a central control interface with an easy to use and understand interface. Roles within this interface can be assigned to managers, HR, receptionists etc to allow them to add new employees, grant access to visitors and more.
An access control system has many other benefits such as reporting who is on site, fire alarm roll call reports which allow you to mark all building occupants as safe, easy reporting on staff movements around the building and more.
With an access control system you get rid of the issues associated with suited keys. You will no longer need to sign in and out keys to users, faced with high costs of replacement keys or locks should one be lost. A card or dongle can easily be given to a site user and their access rights amended from the software. If they leave the business their rights can be revoked immediately even if they disappear without handing back in their ID card/dongle.
Maintenance contractors can be assigned a card or dongle for the duration of their work permit allowing them access to just the areas they need to be in to complete their work.
If your business operates a shift work pattern users can be assigned access rights only during their shift times, preventing them from gaining access out of their working hours.
Building areas can be locked automatically overnight but unlocked centrally during working hours should you wish your staff to move freely around certain areas during the day.
Doors can be set to unlock in the event of a fire alarm activation allowing safe and efficient egress from the building whilst allowing access for the emergency services. A tag reader can be set up in the fire assembly point allowing staff to tag in showing that they are safe and out of the building allowing you to inform the emergency services as to how many people may be unaccounted for in the building, helping to not only save their lives but also protecting the emergency services form having to enter high risk areas unnecessarily.
It may be that you only wish to control access to one or two areas such as server rooms. With Paxton, this can easily be achieved and the system can be expanded at a later date if required.
Access control can provide so many benefits to your business.
